I think we might be reading the polls a little too closely. You can draw premature (and unpleasant) conclusions from early polls. It’s too soon to start speculating about the good and bad of a powerful NDP, fun as that would be.
I don’t care which party on the left finishes second, so long as somebody pulls ahead. If the NDP are going to replace the Liberals, let’s get on with it already. We only have until Thanksgiving to straighten it out.
On a related note, the latest NDP television ad is slick. It manages to attack Harper’s leadership and boost the party’s lefty credentials without the amateurism of the Liberal ads I’ve seen or the use of any sweater vests.
