We’ve seen this already on Wall Street and now we’re hearing it out of Detroit: some corporations are too big to fail. I don’t have any answers, but I have more questions:
- What does this say about our “free” market economy?
- It is not possible to prop up the Big Three/Two forever. If they can’t be turned around, how do we let them fail gently?
- Is there much we can do in Canada anyway, or is all this worrying for nothing? I imagine nationalizing GM Canada (just for example) would be a big no-no.
