What happens if Her Majesty is in the country when the government loses a confidence vote? Does Harper then go to the Queen to ask for an election, and if so, isn’t that a fantastic mental movie? I bet she’d have some words for him.

  1. Just in case you are wondering the answer is yes. It is also quite permissible for the GG to ask the queen what she wants to have done. The queen is the actual head of government. Little stevie is just her minister and advisor. The GG is her deputy. Maybe liz can come over for a few months and run the place till the boys on the playground start playing nice again.
